Frequently Asked Questions

What is Meadow?

Meadow is a monthly snail mail subscription for those who want to grow — and who want to positively impact the people around them, too. Each month a personal letter arrives in your mailbox on a topic worth sitting with, alongside a small collection of items designed to help you actually do something with what you read — for yourself and others.

What comes in each monthly envelope?

Every month you'll receive:

  • A personal letter written on an honest, thought-provoking topic — warm, direct, and written to meet you where you are.
  • Two small cards — one that's meant to inspire you and get you thinking things through, and one that gives you practical ways to engage the people in your world. The keep card carries a quote from that month's letter on one side and a few reflection prompts on the other. The give card holds two conversation starters on one side and one simple, practical act of kindness on the other.
  • Two greeting cards — a small collection of beautifully designed cards (think thank you, thinking of you, just because, happy birthday) to send to the people in your life who need to hear something good - each card is accompanied by a kraft envelope.
  • *Every other month,* a small surprise item tucked in — a bookmark, an art print, a sticker, or something else tied to the month's theme.

Who is Meadow written for?

Meadow is written for those who want to live every part of their life well — who are willing to do the honest, sometimes uncomfortable work of growing and changing, and who care enough about the people around them to not keep what they're learning to themselves. You don't have to be a journaler, a planner, or a stationery lover to get something out of it. You just have to be someone who wants more — more depth, more honesty, more of a life that actually means something.

When I subscribe, will I get past letters?

When you subscribe for Meadow, in your first envelope, you'll receive a welcome letter and that current month's letter. We understand that there may be previous months that you wish to receive, so we are considering creating an archive vault with all our past letters for your to purchase on a singular basis. If we do move forward with this, it will be available in our "Shop" section and what you would be purchasing is only the letter itself - so not the additional items (i.e. greeting cards, notecards, etc.) that are sent along with each letter. We will be adding any greeting cards and special paper products to our "Shop" section as well. as time goes on :)

Do I need to be a Christian to subscribe?

No. Meadow is written from a faith-informed perspective — meaning my faith shapes how I see the world and occasionally shows up in the letters naturally — but Meadow's letters aren't devotionals. The topics discussed cover universal human experiences, and the letters are written to meet you where you are, whatever that looks like.

How is Meadow different from other subscriptions?

Most subscriptions are built around a collection of products. Meadow is built around a letter. Everything else in the envelope exists to help you do something with what you read — to reflect on it, to bring it into a conversation, to pass a little of it along to someone who needs it. Nothing is in there to clutter your space or collect dust. Everything has a purpose.

When will my envelope arrive each month?

Envelopes go out in the second to last week of each month and typically arrive within 5 to 7 business days - depending on your domestic location. You'll receive a notification when your envelope ships - but because it is a snail mail subscription, tracking is not included. We think not knowing exactly when it will arrive adds a bit of that old nostalgic anticipation us older folks used to love.

What if I miss a month or want a pause?

For monthly subscribers, you can pause or skip a month anytime through your subscriber portal. Life happens — Meadow is meant to add something to your life, not create pressure for you.

For 6-month and annual subscribers, due to the nature of paying in advance for a bulk of time, pausing or skipping a month is not possible.

Can I gift a Meadow subscription?

Yes — a Meadow subscription makes a thoughtful gift that keeps giving. If you'd like to gift a subscription, just purchase the subscription of your choice, and input your gift recipient's name and address in the "shipping address" section at checkout. Then you'll be able to access and manage their subscription through your subscriber account.

What if I subscribe after the first month of launch — will I miss letters?

Every Meadow subscription begins with receiving two letters your first month — a welcome letter alongside that month's regular letter. So, you'll be introduced to the heart and philosophy of Meadow in your first month, in addition to receiving that month's specific topical letter, and from there, you'll receive one letter a month (i.e. each month's regular letter).

How much does Meadow cost?

Meadow is $16 per month. Cancel anytime through your subscriber account.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, always. You can cancel anytime through your subscriber account with no fees or penalties.

If you cancel after a monthly envelope has already shipped, your cancellation will take effect the following month. If you signed up for a 6-month or annual subscription, your cancellation will take effect at the end of your subscribed period (meaning you will continue to receive letters until your subscription period runs out).

If you cancel your 6-month or annual subscription when you still have months remaining in your subscribed period, you will not be refunded for the remaining months, as prepaid subscriptions are non-refundable. You'll be able to enjoy the remaining months of your subscription, which will come to an official end once your subscription period is complete.
